An open hand to the free…

This site is a place for discussion, and a demonstration of what thought can do, how it can humble every religion, tyranny and lie, it is to be an encouragement for those who dare not stand up to the oppression they endure. The work here is both serious and humorous, but the main aim is to be an archive of all I and others have written. There are many humanistic, philosophical and scholarly sites, but I felt more life and determination was needed, and also less subtlety.

Here is an examination of the developing ideas I wish to share. The essays will show, in the order they were written, my changing and developing ideas. Not based on any specific philosophy or ideal but worked out from scratch. They start out very vague but hopefully become clearer. Many have said my writing are their own thought, that they are unable to express, so I'll do it for them, and bring in other works of freethinkers, and those who value life and morality above all things.

I aim to promote a positive message, and give help and advice but also to warm against those things that, to me are against life and humanity. Particularly ideals and institutions that have proven themselves to be inherently inhumane, among them political extremism and particularly religion, which is by far the worse threat to civilisation.

There is no such thing as morality in religion, merely the constraints of an obsessive tyranny.

Absolute morality is a myth, there is objective morality based on the empirical existence of humanity, and the individual ethics of each person, and that it. Ethics in religion is a red herring, its after power that's all, or its "ethics" would be available without the theological collar, but as they say, "you are saved by faith not works" and they want both the pretence of morality and control over you.

For true morality you need a moral system, not religious, as the two have nothing common.

Religious leaders use "morality" as a buzz word, a slogan in the same way a politician does, ethics is something separate from all things but itself and humanity. Religions is superstition, designed to make emotions and personality flaws into virtues by called them spiritual and by brainwashing people into thinking the term means the same as moral.

I aim to expose the falsehood of religious ethics, and show why secular humanistic morality has to be the answer to virtually all the social questions we have. I can see no other way of dealing with ethical questions than with a philosophy dedicated to life and morality and only those things. So to promote humanism, and unite all who are free of mental enslavement under a banner of defiance against immoral tyrants is the ultimate aim of this site.
